Stokesay

Stokesay is a historic hamlet in Shropshire, England just south of Craven Arms on the A49 road, also fleetingly visible from the Shrewsbury to Hereford Welsh Marches railway line. Less than a mile to the north is the small town of Craven Arms and 6 miles to the south east is the larger, historical market town of Ludlow. Stokesay was once a civil parish, which covered the land now taken up by Craven Arms. However it merged with Halford parish to form the modern day Craven Arms parish.

Craven Arms railway station

Craven Arms railway station serves the small town of Craven Arms in Shropshire, England. Until 1974 it was known as "Craven Arms and Stokesay", named after the nearby coaching inn (the town having not come into being prior to the arrival of the railways) and the historic settlement of Stokesay to the south.

Broome, Shropshire

Cheney Longville Castle

Cheney Longville Castle was in the village of Cheney Longville to the north of Craven Arms, Shropshire. It is a much restored 14th century fortified manor house. The house is quadrangular in shape, 30.48 x 36.58m, and has the remains of its moat to the south and east. The entrance is on the north side through a modern archway. The residential arpartments form the North, and part East and West sides which were originally separated from the stable court in the south by a wall.

Wistanstow is a village and parish in Shropshire, England. Wistanstow is located about 8 km south of Church Stretton and 14 km north of Ludlow at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:52|28|N|2|50|W||| |primary |name= }}. It is about 2½ km north of Craven Arms. It is just off the main Shrewsbury-Hereford road, the A49.
