Castle Head, Devon

Castle Head is a British Iron Age Hill fort occupying a commanding position on a promontory at the neck of a bow in the River Tamar on the Devon side close to Dunterton. The fort is situated approximately 100 metres above sea level, there is another earthwork due South lower on the promontory at approx 50 metres above sea level, and others on the Cornwall side of the river.

Whiteford House

Whiteford House was an English country house built in 1775 in Stoke Climsland, Cornwall. The house was built by Sir John Call of Whiteford on his return from India. The main house was demolished in 1913; the stables and a garden folly survive, and the folly (called Whiteford Temple) survive, and Whiteford Temple is now owned by the Landmark Trust and let as a holiday cottage. There are Coade stone plaques on the exterior of the Temple.

Drakewalls

Drakewalls is a small village in southeast Cornwall, England, UK. It is in Calstock parish, adjacent to Gunnislake between Callington and Tavistock. Primary education is provided by Delaware Community Primary School (formerly known as Delaware County Primary School) . It educates children from the ages of 4 to 11. The majority of pupils move onto Callington Community College after Year 6. Gunnislake railway station on the Tamar Valley Line is located in the village.

Kit Hill Country Park

Kit Hill, at 334 metres high, dominates the area between Callington and the River Tamar in southeast Cornwall, UK. The word 'Kit' comes from Old English for Kite, a reference to birds of prey (and not specifically the Red Kite). Buzzards and Sparrowhawks can still be seen on the hill. It is one of five Marilyn hills in Cornwall, the four others are Watch Croft, Brown Willy, Carnmenellis and Hensbarrow Beacon.
