Magherafelt District Council is a district council in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. Council headquarters are in Magherafelt. The Council area stretches from Lough Neagh and the River Bann in the east and into the Sperrin Mountains in the west and is divided by the Moyola River. CLG Naomh Pádraig An Lúb is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in The Loup. The club is a member of the Derry GAA and currently cater for Gaelic football. The club was originally called St Patrick's Loup, but the name has since been renamed to its Irish language equivalent. Many Derry GAA followers still refer to the club as "The Loup". The club's biggest success is when they won the 2003 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship.
