Balfron High School

Balfron High School is situated in the village of Balfron, approximately 18 miles from Glasgow and 20 miles from Stirling. The catchment area includes the larger villages of Killearn, Strathblane, Blanefield, Drymen and Kippen; the smaller villages of Buchlyvie, Fintry and Croftamie; along with the village of Balfron where the school is situated. The school also however has pupils attending from areas of Balloch as well as Milngavie, Bearsden and other areas of Glasgow.

Gartmore House

Gartmore House is a country house and estate in the village of Gartmore, Stirling, Scotland. It was built in the mid-18th century for the Graham family on the site of an earlier house. William Adam prepared plans for Nicol Graham of Gartmore in the 1740s, but according to Historic Scotland, it is doubtful that he designed the house as built. The house was enlarged for Nicol's son, Robert Graham of Gartmore by John Baxter Junior in 1779-80.

Gartmore

Gartmore (Scottish Gaelic An Gart Mòr) is a village in the Stirling council area, Scotland. It is a picturesque little village with an excellent view of the Wallace Monument in Stirling, almost 25 miles away. Formerly in lowland Perthshire, it is one mile from the A81 Glasgow to Aberfoyle road, three miles south of Aberfoyle. The Rob Roy Way walking route passes nearby. There is only one shop which is owned by the community.

Cunninghame Graham Memorial

The Cunninghame Graham Memorial is a stone monument dedicated to the memory of 'Don Roberto' Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham (1852–1936) 15th of Gartmore and 19th of Ardoch, a Scottish author, politician, traveller and horseman . The cairn was designed by Alexander Wright and was erected in June 1937, a year after Cunninghame Graham's death, on land that he had given to the National Trust for Scotland at Castlehill, Dumbarton.
