Colwyn

The Borough of Colwyn was one of six districts of the county of Clwyd, north-east Wales, from 1974 to 1996. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1972 from the following parts of the administrative county of Denbighshire: The municipal borough of Colwyn Bay The urban district of Abergele Parts of the rural districts of Aled and Hiraethog. The borough was abolished in 1996, when wales was divided into unitary authorities created by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994.

Llangernyw

Llangernyw is a rural, mostly Welsh-speaking, village in Conwy County Borough, north Wales. The population was 960 in 2001, 67% Welsh-speaking. It lies on the A548 between Llanrwst and Llanfair Talhaiarn at the point where the Afon Cledwen, a tributary of the River Elwy, crosses the main road. Situated on the outskirts of the village is Hafodunos, a gothic mansion ravaged by fire in 2004.

Conwy (National Assembly for Wales constituency)

Conwy was a constituency of the National Assembly for Wales from 1999 to 2007. It elected one Assembly Member by the first past the post method of election. It was also one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elected four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.
