Amman Valley Railway

The Amman Valley Railway Society (Welsh: Rheilffordd Dyffryn Aman) is situated near the former Gwaun Cae Gurwen branch line, that runs alongside the River Amman, some 10 miles north of Swansea in west Wales. Its primary focus is to construct Swansea 9 Lines. An eco friendly tram system to the heart of Swansea & the surrounding areas. The project was originally based off a heritage railway proposal on a lines that formerly served the various collieries of the area north of Swansea and Llanelli.

River Amman

The River Amman is a river of south Wales, which joins the River Loughor at Pantyffynnon. The source of the Amman is on the Black Mountain. The river gives its name to the town of Ammanford and the villages of Pontamman, Glanamman, Brynamman and Rhosaman. Garnant and Betws also lie in the Amman Valley - Garnant and Glanamman were formerly known as Cwmamman and it is now the name of their combined urban council.

Lliw Valley

The Borough of Lliw Valley was one of the four local government districts of West Glamorgan, Wales from 1974 to 1996. It was formed by the merger of the Llwchwr urban district and Pontardawe Rural District, under the Local Government Act 1972. Llanedi

Llanedi is a village and community in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Once the name of a parish, Llanedi is now a community taking in the hamlet of Llanedi and the villages of Hendy, Fforest and Tycroes. The community is located roughly between Ammanford and Llanelli.

Mynydd y Betws

Mynydd y Betws is a mountain located on the border between Swansea and Carmarthenshire, south Wales. It is the highest mountain in Swansea, and the highest land between the River Loughor and the Upper Clydach River. A small road between Ammanford and Clydach passes very close to the summit, on which are located the historic ruins of Penlle'r Castell.
