River Tawd
The River Tawd flows through Skelmersdale and Lathom in West Lancashire. The Tawd Bridge carried Ormskirk Road, the main arterial road from Wigan to Ormskirk and Southport. Today, the river flows through the middle of Skelmersdale in large culverts.
