Battle of Crug Mawr

The Battle of Crug Mawr took place in September or October 1136, as part of a struggle for control of Ceredigion which had been captured by the Normans. A Welsh revolt against Norman rule had begun in south Wales, where on 1 January 1136 the Welsh won a victory over the local Norman forces at the Battle of Llwchwr between Loughor and Swansea, killing about 500 of their opponents.

Tresaith

Tresaith (otherwise Tre-saith) is a coastal village in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. Tresaith is between Aberporth and Llangranog; it is linked to the former by a two-mile coastal path. Situated in West Wales, Tresaith is part of the Ceredigion Heritage Coastline which – although not as well known as the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park – offers similar walking and views. There is an abundance of wildlife and flora.

Our Lady of Cardigan (Welsh: Mair o Aberteifi), also known as Our Lady of the Taper, the Catholic national shrine of Wales, is a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary located in a chapel in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales.

Manordeifi

Manordeifi is a parish and community in the hundred of Kilgerran, in the northeast corner of Pembrokeshire, Wales. The population of the community (2001) was 478. Together with the community of Cilgerran, it makes up Cilgerran electoral ward. In addition to scattered settlement, the parish contains the villages of Abercych and Newchapel. There was an unusually large number of substantial mansions in the parish, perhaps because of the picturesque scenery and good angling in the area.

Manordeifi Old Church

Manordeifi Old Church is a redundant church in Manordeifi, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It has been designated by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches. The church stands near the River Teifi and worshippers were sometimes trapped when the river flooded. They were then ferried home in a coracle that was kept in the church porch for this purpose.
