Byron Airport

Byron Airport is a county-owned public-use airport located two miles (3 km) south of the central business district of Byron, a community in Contra Costa County, California, United States. According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2007–2011, it is categorized as a reliever airport. On the lee side of the Diablo Range mountains, Byron regularly experiences variable 10-30 knot winds and thermals in the vicinity.

Kings Island (California)

Kings Island is an island in the Old River (California) in the south Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in San Joaquin County, California, fifteen kilometres southwest of Stockton. The small 3.5 ha island is the smallest of a cluster of delta islands including Eucalyptus Island, Widdows Island, Victoria Island (California), and Coney Island, adjacent to Clifton Court Forebay.

Banks Pumping Plant

The Harvey O. Banks Pumping Plant is located 2.5 miles (4 km) southwest of the Clifton Court Forebay and 11.5 miles (19 km) northeast of Livermore, CA. The plant is the first pumping plant for the California Aqueduct and the South Bay Aqueduct. It provides the necessary fluid head (potential energy) for the California Aqueduct to flow for approximately 80 miles (130 km) south past the O'Neill Forebay and the San Luis Reservoir to the Dos Amigos Pumping Plant.

Clifton Court Forebay

Clifton Court Forebay is an artificial reservoir in the San Joaquin River Delta of Contra Costa County, California, 27 km (17 mi) southwest of Stockton. The body of water was created in 1969 by inundating the 1,000 ha tract as part of the California State Water Project, and serves as the Mile Zero intake point of the California Aqueduct for transport to Southern California, and feeds the Delta–Mendota Canal to recharge San Joaquin Valley river systems.
