Mountain House, Alameda County, California

Mountain House (formerly, Zimmerman's and Zimmerman's Mountain House) is an unincorporated community in Alameda County, California, United States. It is located 12 miles east-northeast of Livermore, at an altitude of 207 feet (63 m), between the California Aqueduct and the Delta-Mendota Canal at a crossroads two miles (3 km) southwest of San Joaquin County's Mountain House. The Elk Horn post office, which operated from 1852 to 1853, was located at or near Mountain House.

Bethany Reservoir

Clifton Court Forebay

Clifton Court Forebay is an artificial reservoir in the San Joaquin River Delta of Contra Costa County, California, 27 km (17 mi) southwest of Stockton. The body of water was created in 1969 by inundating the 1,000 ha tract as part of the California State Water Project, and serves as the Mile Zero intake point of the California Aqueduct for transport to Southern California, and feeds the Delta–Mendota Canal to recharge San Joaquin Valley river systems.

California Aqueduct

The Governor Edmund G. Brown California Aqueduct is a system of canals, tunnels, and pipelines that conveys water collected from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and valleys of Northern- and Central California to Southern California. The Department of Water Resources (DWR) operates and maintains the California Aqueduct, including two pumped-storage hydroelectric plants, Castaic and Gianelli.

Altamont Raceway Park

Altamont Raceway Park was a motorsports race track located in Alameda County in Northern California between the towns of Tracy and Livermore. It first opened on July 22, 1966, and has variously operated under the names Altamont Speedway, Altamont Raceway, Altamont Motorsports Park, Altamont Raceway Park and Arena, and Bernal Memorial Raceway. The speedway closed in October 2008.
