Ivanpah Lake

Ivanpah Lake is a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California on the border of California and Nevada. Nestled in the Ivanpah Valley near Primm on Interstate 15, the 13-square-mile lake is almost entirely within California. At the north edge of the lake lie the Nevada Welcome Center (closed) and a California Lottery retailer. It is a popular place for land sailing and kite buggying.

Mojave Memorial Cross

The Mojave Memorial Cross is a cross formerly on public land in the Mojave desert that was at the center of the Salazar v. Buono legal case before the U.S. Supreme Court. The original cross was erected in 1934 to honor those killed in war. The cross has been maintained by volunteers and was reconstructed after being destroyed. It was boarded up after lower court rulings declared it illegal because of separation of church and state constitutional concerns.

Stateline Wilderness

Located in San Bernardino County, California approximately three miles northwest of Primm, NV and I-15, the small but pristine 7,004-acre (approximate) Stateline Wilderness contains the eastern terminus of the 15-mile long Clark Mountain Range. The limestone/dolomite mountains are steep and rugged. Dominant vegetation includes creosote brush and bursage on the bajadas and Mojave yucca, Joshua tree, cacti, and various mixed shrubs on the slopes.
