El Monte /ɛl ˈmɒntiː/ is a residential, industrial, and commercial city in Los Angeles County of Southern California, the United States. The city lies in the San Gabriel Valley east of the city of Los Angeles. El Monte's slogan is "Welcome to Friendly El Monte," and historically is known as "The End of the Santa Fe Trail. " As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 113,475, down from 115,965 at the 2000 census.

El Monte Station

El Monte Station is large regional bus station in the city of El Monte just off the Interstate 10 and the San Bernardino Freeways serving the Metro Silver Line, Foothill Transit, Greyhound and also El Monte Transit. It is the Metro Silver Line's eastern terminus. With 22,000 passengers and 1,200 bus departures daily the station was doubled in size in a renovation which was completed in October 2012.

North El Monte, California

North El Monte is a census-designated place (CDP) in the San Gabriel Valley, in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 3,723 at the 2010 census, up from 3,703 at the 2000 census.

San Bernardino Line

The San Bernardino Line is the busiest of Southern California's seven Metrolink lines, running from Downtown Los Angeles east through the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire to San Bernardino. It is one of the three initial lines on the original Metrolink system. When the line opened in 1992 service extended only as far as Pomona, but in 1993 the line was extended to San Bernardino. Saturday service was added in 1997 and Sunday service in 1998.
