Hesperia High School

Hesperia High School is a school within the Hesperia Unified School District located in Hesperia, San Bernardino County, California. The school currently is enrolled with nearly 2,500 students in grades 9–12. Twice has the school's student body swelled to 4,000, forcing the HUSD to open Sultana High School, in 1995 and Oak Hills High School, in 2009. The school's official mascot is the Scorpion and the colors are black & gold. Hesperia High School first opened its doors in the fall of 1984.

Silverwood Lake is a large reservoir in San Bernardino County, California, United States, located on the west fork of the Mojave River in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was created in 1971 by the construction of the Cedar Springs Dam as a forebay on the 444-mile long California Aqueduct, and has a capacity of 73,000 acre feet .

Inland Feeder

The Inland Feeder is a 44 mi high capacity water conveyance system that connects the California State Water Project to the Colorado River Aqueduct and Diamond Valley Lake. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California designed the system to increase Southern California's water supply reliability in the face of future weather pattern uncertainties, while minimizing the impact on the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta environment in Northern California.

2006 Mercy Air Bell 412 crash

The 2006 Mercy Air helicopter accident occurred on December 10, 2006, about 1755 Pacific standard time, when a Bell 412SP helicopter, call sign "Mercy Air 2," impacted mountainous terrain near Hesperia, California and the Cajon Pass. The commercial helicopter pilot and two medical crew members were killed and the helicopter was destroyed, by the impact and post impact fire. On July 30, 2008, the National Transportation Safety Board released its probable cause report on the accident.
