Diamond Valley Lake
Diamond Valley Lake is a man-made offstream reservoir located near Hemet, California, United States. It is one of the largest reservoirs in Southern California and also one of the newest. With 800,000 acre feet of water, The lake nearly doubled the area’s surface water storage capacity and provides additional water supplies for drought, peak summer, and emergency needs. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California began the $1.9 billion construction project in 1995.

Rancho Pauba
Rancho Pauba was a 26,598-acre Mexican land grant in present day Riverside County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Vicente Moraga and Luis Arenas. The grant was east of present day Temecula. At the time of the US patent, Rancho Pauba was a part of San Diego County. Riverside County was created by the California Legislature in 1893 by taking land from both San Bernardino and San Diego Counties.
