Black Mountain Open Space Park is a city park located in San Diego, California. The park covers 2,352 acres in the Black Mountain Ranch and Rancho Peñasquitos area of northern San Diego. The park includes the 1,558 foot (475 m) Black Mountain and preserves coastal sage scrub and chaparral plant communities. A future interpretive center is planned that will highlight the mountain, the 1920s era arsenic/gold mine, and other nearby open areas.
