New York Mountain Trail is in the northwestern Sawatch Range, part of the Rocky Mountains in the US state of Colorado. It is located in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area within Eagle County. New York Mountain Trail is south of Interstate 70, near Eagle and very close to Fulford, Colorado. New York Mountain is the site of mining ruins from the late nineteenth century. Gold Dust Peak, 13,365 feet, lies south of New York Mountain.

Lake Charles Trail is in the northwestern Sawatch Range, part of the Rocky Mountains in the US state of Colorado. It is located in the Holy Cross Wilderness west of New York Mountain in Eagle County. Lake Charles Trail is south of Interstate 70, near Eagle and Fulford, Colorado. Lake Charles Trailhead can be found by driving eleven miles south from Eagle on Brush Creek Road.

Craig D. Button
Craig David Button (November 24, 1964 - April 2, 1997) was a United States Air Force pilot who died when he crashed an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft in mysterious circumstances on April 2, 1997. During the incident, Captain Button inexplicably flew hundreds of miles off-course without radio contact, appeared to maneuver purposefully and did not attempt to eject before the crash. His death is regarded as a suicide because no other hypothesis explains the events.
