Birds of Prey (ski course)

Birds of Prey is a World Cup downhill ski course in the United States, located at Beaver Creek, Colorado. A regular stop on the men's World Cup tour, the races in Beaver Creek are usually held in early December. The course hosted the World Championships in February 1999, and is scheduled again for 2015. With lower starting gates, it is also used for Super-G and Giant Slalom races.

Eagle-Vail, Colorado

Eagle-Vail is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Eagle County, Colorado, United States, along Interstate 70 and the Eagle River. The population was 2,887 at the 2000 census. The area was not returned separately by census enumerators in 2010. The area is located in the heart of the Eagle River Valley in Eagle County. Located between Vail and Avon, Eagle-Vail is a residential community of 1,400+ homes with a diverse mix of year round residents and second homeowners.

Avon, Colorado

Avon is a Home Rule Municipality that is a town in Eagle County, Colorado, United States. The population was 6,447 at the 2010 census. Avon is the gateway to the Beaver Creek Resort which lies about two miles (3 km) south of the town. It was the previous site of Vail Resorts before the company moved its physical headquarters to Broomfield, CO. in 2006. The town is also the home of Liberty Skis, an independent ski manufacturing company. The town first consisted of a rail station opened in 1889.
