Vail Mountain, at 5,289 acres, is the largest single mountain ski resort in the United States, featuring seven bowls and intermediate gladed terrain in Blue Sky Basin. The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival is an annual summer classical music festival located in Vail, Colorado. The festival was founded in 1987 by violinist Ida Kavafian and attorney John Giovando with the initial purpose of presenting a concert series of chamber music. Kavafian had already successfully established the Music from Angel Fire festival in New Mexico and the first several years of the Bravo! festival utilized many of the same performers from Angel Fire.
