Madras Middle School

Madras Middle School is a middle school located at 33°26.2'N 84°45.2'W in northeastern Coweta County, Georgia. It serves grades 6 to 8 as part of the CCSS. The school was in Northgate High School's facilities during its construction and was named Northgate Middle School until 1998 when it moved into its current building and was renamed Madras Middle School. Graduates from Madras attend the previously mentioned Northgate High School, East Coweta High School or Newnan High School.

Newnan, Georgia

Newnan is a city in Coweta County, Georgia, about 30 miles southwest of Atlanta. The population was 16,242 at the 2000 Census. Newnan is one of the fastest growing cities in Georgia, with an estimated population of 27,097 in 2006 and 33,293 in July 2008. According to the 2010 census, 33,039 people live in Newnan, the county seat of Coweta County, and it grew 103.4% since 2000.

The Coweta County School System (CCSS) is the primary education system in Coweta County, Georgia, USA. Its headquarters are an antebellum building on Jackson Street at Sprayberry Road in Newnan, Georgia. Coweta County is the 9th fastest growing county in Georgia and the 26th fastest in the country. The CCSS has grown from 9,210 students in 1984 to over 22,000 students in 2007.

Newnan Times-Herald

The Newnan Times-Herald, locally known as The Times-Herald, is a newspaper published in Newnan, Georgia. It was founded in 1866, which makes it the oldest news organization in Newnan and Coweta County, Georgia.
