Echols County, Georgia

Echols County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is part of the Valdosta, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the population is 4,034. The county seat is Statenville. Statenville is not an incorporated municipality, making Echols County one of only three counties in Georgia to have an unincorporated county seat. Established in 1858, from the parts of Lowndes and Clinch the county was named in honor of Robert Milner Echols (1798–1847).

Fargo, Georgia

Fargo is a city in Clinch County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 321. Formerly a town, it was incorporated by the Georgia state legislature in 1992, effective on April 1 of that year. Fargo is located near the Okefenokee Swamp and is the western gateway to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Also nearby is Stephen C. Foster State Park.

Clinch County, Georgia

Clinch County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on February 14, 1850, named in honor of Duncan Lamont Clinch. As of the 2010 census, the population is 6,798. The county seat is Homerville. With just 8.5 people per square mile (land), Clinch has one of the lowest population densities of any county in Georgia.

Jasper, Florida

Jasper is a city in Hamilton County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,780 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau is 1,848 http://www. census. gov/popest/cities/tables/SUB-EST2004-04-12. xls. It is the county seat of Hamilton County. The Old Hamilton County Jail and the United Methodist Church in Jasper, Florida are on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the largest industries is phosphate mining.
