Westside Park
Westside Park is a proposed park in the City of Atlanta to be located on the site of the former Bellwood Quarry. The land, which had been owned by Fulton County, is currently in a long term lease to Vulcan Materials. On December 10, 2005, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin announced a plan to acquire the lease and the land in order to create a 351-acre park with a 45-acre lake which would also serve as a drinking water reservoir.

Bankhead (MARTA station)
Bankhead is an elevated metro station in the MARTA rail system and the western terminus of the Green Line (Formerly called the Proctor Creek Line), which was originally planned to serve points north beyond Bankhead such as Perry Homes. It is the only station served exclusively by the Green Line. This stations primarily serves the neighborhoods of Bankhead, and West Atlanta. It provides connecting bus service to Bankhead, Donald Lee Hollowell Highway, and Maddox Park.

WREK ("Wreck", from the Rambling Wreck) is the radio station staffed by the students of the Georgia Institute of Technology. It is located at 91.1 MHz and on channel 17 on the Georgia Tech cable TV network, GTCN. Starting as a 10-watt class D, WREK currently broadcasts a 100,000 Watt (FCC data as of October 8, 2011) ERP signal throughout metropolitan Atlanta, making it among the ten highest-power college radio stations in the United States.

Under the Couch
Under the Couch (UTC) is a live music venue located at Georgia Tech, USA, in the Student Center; however, it was previously located underneath the Couch building on West Campus. It is run by the Musician's Network (MN), a Georgia Tech student organization. UTC was established by the Musician's Network in 1995. MN runs UTC, facilitates live shows, provides students with practice and storage space, as well as providing 16-track studio recording facilities.
