DeSoto Falls (Georgia)

The DeSoto Falls of Georgia are located in Lumpkin County, Georgia along Frogtown Creek. There are actually three waterfalls on Frogtown Creek, called Upper DeSoto Falls, Middle Desoto Falls and Lower DeSoto Falls. The upper waterfall drops 200 feet, the middle waterfall drops 90 feet and the lower waterfall drops 35 feet . The overall height of the falls, as measured inclusive of non-vertical falls, cascades and steep stream bed, is 480 feet .

Dockery Lake Recreation Area

Dockery Lake Recreation Area, located in northeast Georgia near the town of Dahlonega, is a US Forest Service campground and day-use area constructed next to a small pond. The area, operated by the Forestry Service's Brasstown Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest, is nestled among the Cedar Ridge range of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Situated on a small tributary to Waters Creek, Dockery Lake is a 6-acre man-made lake stocked with trout.

Cowrock Mountain

Cowrock Mountain is a mountain that is located in Lumpkin and White counties in Georgia. The mountain forms a north/south ridge. Its northern peak, Cowrock, has an elevation of 3,852 feet and its southern peak, Cowrock Flat, has an elevation of 3,502 feet . The boundary line between Lumpkin and White counties follows the ridge formed by Cowrock Mountain. The peak called Cowrock is the highest point in Lumpkin County, forms the northeast corner of the county.

Neels Gap, Georgia

Neels Gap (also known as Frogtown Gap, Frogtown Pass, Neel Gap, and Walasi-yi) is a divide along the Blue Ridge Mountains at the base of the Frogtown Creek in the counties of Union and Lumpkin in the U.S. state of Georgia. The divide is located approximately 14.5 miles northeast of Dahlonega.

WNGA is an American radio station licensed to Helen, Georgia owned by Tugart Properties, LLC. Despite the low power, the transmitter's mountaintop location carries a long distance. The station was silent. silent. Then on December 19, 2011, WNGA returned to the air stunting with a Christmas Music temporary format.
