International Forest of Friendship
The International Forest of Friendship is an arboretum and memorial forest beside Lake Warnock in Atchison, Kansas. It is a memorial to the men and women involved in aviation and space exploration, and open to the public daily. The forest was started in 1976 by the city of Atchison and the Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots. Fay Gillis Wells is credited as founder and original co-chairman.

Atchison Storage Facility
The Atchison Storage Facility, commonly known as the "Atchison Caves" lies 50 to 150 feet (to m) below the park under the limestone bluffs that line the Missouri River Valley. The bunker complex has served the United States for more than 60 years as a secure storage facility from World War II to the present day.

The school was formed in 2003 with the merger of Maur Hill Prep School, an all-boys school, and Mount St. Scholastica Academy, an all-girls school, belonging to the Delaware Valley League. Amelia Earhart Bridge
The Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge is a truss bridge over the Missouri River on U.S. Route 59 between Atchison, Kansas and Buchanan County, Missouri. It was built in 1937–1938 by the Works Progress Administration. It was designed by Sverdrup & Parcel. The bridge was originally named the Mo-Kan Free Bridge because it did not charge a toll (the adjacent railroad bridge served as a crossing for rail traffic as well as cars and pedestrians prior to the construction of the free bridge).
