Logan County, Kentucky

Logan County is a county located in the southwest area of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 26,573. Its county seat is Russellville. The county is named for Benjamin Logan, who had been second in command of the Kentucky militia during the Revolutionary War and was a leader in the efforts to make Kentucky a state.

WRUS signed on in August 1953, originally at 800 kilocycles, but soon changed to 610 kHz where it still operates today. WRUS operates at a daytime power of 1800 watts and 59 watts at night per FCC authorization. WRUS is owned by Logan Radio Inc.
