Logan County is a county located in the southwest area of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 26,573. Its county seat is Russellville. The county is named for Benjamin Logan, who had been second in command of the Kentucky militia during the Revolutionary War and was a leader in the efforts to make Kentucky a state.
