Alexandria Senior High School is a public secondary school located in Alexandria, Louisiana, United States. The school serves about 1,100 students in grades 9 to 12 in the Rapides Parish School Board district. Alexandria Senior High (commonly referred to as "ASH") first opened in the fall of 1969. A few months before the school opened, a makeshift student council was elected by the local junior and senior high school students that would be joining to create ASH's student body.

Alexandria is a city in and the parish seat of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States. It lies on the south bank of the Red River in almost the exact geographic center of the state. It is the principal city of the Alexandria metropolitan area (population 153,922) which encompasses all of Rapides and Grant parishes. Its neighboring city is Pineville. In 2010, the population was 47,723, an increase of 3 percent from the 2000 census.

It encompasses the parishes, or counties, of Avoyelles, Rapides, Vernon, Natchitoches, Winn, Caldwell, Madison, Franklin, Tensas, Concordia, Cathoula, Lasalle, and Grant. The current Bishop of the Diocese is Ronald Paul Herzog, who was appointed to the office on November 4, 2004. Bishop Herzog was formally installed on January 5, 2005.
