The Shiawassee River Heritage Water Trail is a 7 miles water trail in the Shiawassee River from Holly, Michigan toward Fenton, Michigan. The trail continues to be extended every year as local governments take an active role in protecting natural infrastructure such as rivers and streams. Gruber's Grinder

Gruber's Grinder a mountain bike trail in Holly, Michigan, United States. Paul Gary Gruber was born and lived in Michigan. Once a hard core mountain bike rider and racer, he took second place with Tail Wind Production and the MMBA Points Series. He was instrumental in developing a race venue that included bike races at the Big M and Owasippi trails. Gruber mapped off, designed, developed and built this mountain bike path at Holly Recreation Area in Southeast Michigan.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

The Michigan Renaissance Festival (MIRF) is a Renaissance fair, an interactive outdoor event that focuses on recreating the look and feel of a fictional English village called Hollygrove during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I in the latter half of the 16th Century. A large number of patrons also regularly attend the festival in costume further fleshing out the streets with nobles, pirates, Vikings, wizards, rogues, wenches, and an assortment of fantasy characters.
