The Ozark National Scenic Riverways is a national park in the Ozarks of southern Missouri in the U.S.. The park was created by an Act of Congress in 1964 to protect the Current and Jacks Fork rivers, and it was formally dedicated in 1971. The park's 80,000 acres are used for many forms of recreation and are home to abundant animal and plant species. Van Buren is a city that is the county seat of Carter County, Missouri, in the United States. It is the largest town in Carter County. Van Buren was founded in 1833 as the county seat of Ripley County and was named after the then Vice President of the United States, Martin Van Buren. Midridge, Missouri

Midridge is an unincorporated community in northeastern Shannon County, Missouri, United States. It is located on a county road about sixteen miles northeast of Eminence. It formerly had a post office/General Store, but that is closed and mail is now delivered to the community from Bunker. Midridge now consists of two houses and the old storebuilding, one occupied. There was an old one room school house in the 1930s and early '40's, but it burnt down.
