Morris Canal

The Morris Canal was a 107-mile (172-km) canal across northern New Jersey in the United States. In use from the late 1820s to the 1920s, it stretched from Phillipsburg on the Delaware River eastward to Jersey City on the Hudson River. It was considered a technical marvel for its water-driven inclined planes to cross the northern New Jersey hills. Completed to Newark in 1831, the canal was extended eastward to Jersey City between 1834 and 1836.

Mount Olive (NJT station)

Mount Olive Station is a New Jersey Transit station in Mount Olive, New Jersey, located in the International Trade Center. The station, located on the side of Waterloo Village Road, services trains for both the Montclair-Boonton Line and the Morristown Line along trackage owned by Norfolk Southern. The line is not electrified from Hackettstown to Dover, where passengers can transfer to an electric Morristown Line train via Summit or a diesel Montclair-Boonton train via Wayne and Montclair.

Allamuchy Mountain State Park

Allamuchy Mountain State Park is located in Byram Township, New Jersey, United States. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. There are more than 20 miles of unmarked trails in the northern section of Allamuchy, and 14 miles of marked multi-use trails. The park is in the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion. The 2,440 acres of mixed oak and hardwood forests and maintained fields of this natural area display various stages of succession.

Stanhope, New Jersey

Stanhope is a borough in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,610, reflecting an increase of 26 (+0.7%) from the 3,584 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 191 (+5.6%) from the 3,393 counted in the 1990 Census. Stanhope was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 24, 1904, from portions of Byram Township.

Netcong (NJT station)

Netcong Station is a New Jersey Transit station in Netcong, New Jersey. Located on U.S. Route 46 at Main Street in downtown Netcong, the small, 1-low level side platform station service passengers for the Morristown Line and the Montclair-Boonton Line. These lines provide service to Hoboken or to New York City via Midtown Direct on the Morristown Line at Dover and Montclair-Boonton at Montclair State University station.
