Helton Township, Ashe County, North Carolina

Helton Township is one of nineteen townships in Ashe County, North Carolina, United States. The township has a population of 710 according to the 2000 census. Geographically, Helton Township occupies 20.25 square miles in northern Ashe County. The township's northern border is with the state of Virginia. There are no incorporated municipalities within Helton Township, however there are several unincorporated communities located here, including Helton and Sturgills.

Grayson Highlands State Park

Grayson Highlands State Park is located in Virginia, United States, adjacent to Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. The park lies within Jefferson National Forest. The park was established in 1965 and contains a total of 4,822 acres (19.51 km²). Whitetop, Virginia

Whitetop is an unincorporated community in Grayson County, Virginia, United States. It is currently the southern terminus of the Virginia Creeper Trail. Whitetop is named for nearby Whitetop Mountain, the second-tallest mountain in the State of Virginia, behind Mount Rogers.
