ASU Soccer Stadium

The ASU Soccer Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Boone, North Carolina and is home to the Appalachian State Mountaineers men's and women's soccer teams. The stadium, which is part of the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex, opened for its first game in 2008 against the College of Charleston Cougars. The stadium is a replacement for the old ASU Soccer Stadium, which was opened in 2005.

WASU-FM is a college radio station broadcasting an alternative music format. The station is owned by Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, which is also the station's city of license. Boone, North Carolina

Boone is a town located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, United States. Boone's population was 17,122 in 2010. Boone is the county seat of Watauga County and the home of Appalachian State University. The town is named for famous American pioneer and explorer Daniel Boone, and every summer since 1952 has hosted an outdoor amphitheatre portrayal of the life and times of its namesake. In 2012, Boone was listed among the 10 best places to retire in the U.S. by U.S. News.
