The North Dakota community became a conventual priory on February 18, 1894. Originally called St. Gall’s, the monks relocated from the north shore of Devils Lake to the city of Richardton on June 24, 1899, and changed the name to St. Mary’s Priory.

Hebron, North Dakota
Hebron is a city in Morton County, North Dakota in the United States. It is part of the "Bismarck, ND Metropolitan Statistical Area" or "Bismarck-Mandan". The population was 747 at the 2010 census. Hebron was founded in 1885 and named after the West Bank city of Hebron. The first influx of settlers came from Johannestal, Crimea, in what was then South Russia. The city is home to the Hebron Brick Company.
