Bixby is a city in Tulsa and Wagoner counties in the U.S. state of Oklahoma, and is a suburb of Tulsa. The population was 13,336 at the 2000 census and 20,884 in the 2010 census, an increase of 56.6 percent. It is nicknamed "The Garden Spot of Oklahoma" for its rich agrarian heritage. Washington Irving Memorial Park and Arboretum

Washington Irving Memorial Park and Arboretum (32.5 acres) is a public park and arboretum located just north of the Arkansas River Bridge at 13700 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma. The park is named in honor of American writer Washington Irving, who camped in the area in October 1832 while participating in a federal expedition to the American West led by Judge Henry L. Ellsworth of Connecticut. The expedition included a 31-day, 350-mile circular tour of central Oklahoma.

SpiritBank Event Center

The SpiritBank Event Center is a 4,500 seat multi-purpose arena and convention center in Bixby, Oklahoma built at a cost of $50 million. The center contains 35,000 sq ft . of arena floor space and 10,000 sq ft . of banquet rooms/ballrooms. Since opening in 2008 it has been the site of numerous concerts and events, including ZZ Top, Stone Temple Pilots, Jason Mraz, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Chris Tomlin. In December 2008, it became the new home of the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.

Oklahoma Aquarium

The Oklahoma Aquarium is located on a 66-acre campus along the banks of the Arkansas River in Jenks, a southern suburb of Tulsa. The 72,000-square-foot facility was built in 2002 with the expectation to bring nearly 500,000 visitors to the Tulsa metropolitan area annually. The Oklahoma Aquarium opened on May 28, 2003.
