San Jacinto River (Texas)

The San Jacinto River runs from Lake Houston in Harris County, Texas to Galveston Bay. In the past, it was home to the Karankawa and Akokisa tribes. It is named after Saint Hyacinth. There are two forks to the San Jacinto river, simply known as the East and West Forks. The west fork of the San Jacinto River feeds Lake Conroe and flows south through Montgomery County to meet with the east fork in northeast Harris County to form Lake Houston.

Kemah, Texas

Kemah is a city in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. The city's population is now 3,334 but continues to grow. Located in Galveston County, Kemah's main industry comes from shipping as it is located on Galveston Bay. Originally a small fishing town, the city has become a tourist destination for the area's restaurants and attractions, which are contained within the Kemah Entertainment District.

Boardwalk Bullet

The Boardwalk Bullet is a high-speed wooden roller coaster in Kemah, Texas, United States, that was opened August 31, 2007. It is part of the Kemah Boardwalk amusement park. Currently, this is the only roller coaster in Greater Houston. It is a 96-foot-tall, 3,236-foot-long twisted wooden roller coaster designed by The Gravity Group built on a 1-acre footprint, making it the one of most compact wooden coasters in the world.
