Lewisville is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The 2000 United States Census placed the city's population at 77,737 and the 2010 Census placed it at 95,290, making it one of the fastest-growing city populations in the United States. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} It occupies 36.4 square miles of land and 6.07 square miles of Lewisville Lake. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} Originally called Holford's Prairie, the origins of Lewisville date back to the early 1840s.

Farmers Field (Lewisville, Texas)

Farmers Field is a baseball stadium on the campus of Lewisville High School, in Lewisville, Texas. Named after the school's mascot the "Fighting Farmers. " It is located adjacent to the Lewisville High School football field and softball field. It is the home of the Lewisville Fighting Farmers baseball team and the former home of the Lewisville Lizards of the Continental Baseball League. The Lewisville Lizards CBL team was renamed and moved to Texarkana, Texas at the end of the 2007 season.

Lewisville High School

Lewisville High School, the oldest of five high schools in the Lewisville Independent School District, is located in Lewisville, Texas. It was opened in 1897, making it the only school in the district to have celebrated its 100th anniversary. The school's colors are maroon and white and its mascot is "Big John", the Fighting Farmer (a reference to Lewisville's early days as a rural community). In 1963, Lewisville was one of the first school districts in Texas to integrate.

Lewisville Lake

Lewisville Lake is a reservoir located in North Texas on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in Denton County near Lewisville. Originally engineered in 1927 as Lake Dallas, the reservoir was expanded in the 1940s and 50s and renamed Lewisville Lake. It was built for flood control purposes and to serve as a water source for Dallas and its suburbs, but residents also use it for recreational purposes.

Vista Ridge Mall

Vista Ridge Mall is a shopping mall in Lewisville, Texas, USA owned and managed by Rouse Properties, one of the largest mall owners in the United States. Constructed in 1989, it is located on the southwest corner of Round Grove Road and the portion of Interstate 35E known as Stemmons Freeway. It contains 160 stores, five of which are anchor tenants. The mall had its grand opening on October 4, 1989, with Sears and Dillards as its initial anchor stores.
