Spencer Spit State Park

Spencer Spit State Park is a 138-acre member of the Washington State Park System on the east side of Lopez Island in San Juan County, Washington, USA. The park features two sand spits that joined to form a briny marsh lagoon. This provides a migratory stop for waterfowl, including Bonaparte's gulls. Other local fauna include great blue herons and kingfishers. Other recreation opportunities include fishing, clamming, and beachcombing.

Frost Island

Frost Island is an island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. The approximately 70-acre (28 ha) island has no public electric service or land-line telephone service. There is a water-taxi that runs between the island and Anacortes. The name was given by Charles Wilkes during the Wilkes Expedition of 1838-1842, in honor of John Frost, the boatswain of the expedition's Porpoise.

Canoe Island

Canoe Island lies in the center of the San Juan Islands in Upright Channel between Shaw Island and Lopez Island. The two water approaches to Indian Cove County Park on Shaw Island pass to either side of Canoe Island, which protects Indian Cove from high waves and surf. At low tide, mudflats in the shallow cove may be exposed. The island has a maximum elevation of 60 feet and has a 49.58-acre span.

Blakely Island, Washington

Blakely Island in San Juan County, Washington is the sixth largest island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, USA, encompassing a land area of 16.852 km² (6.507 sq m). It is separated from Cypress Island to the east by Rosario Strait. The population was 56 persons as of the 2000 census. There is no ferry service to Blakely Island. Access is only by boat or private ferry, arriving at the marina at the northern tip of the island.

Decatur Island

Decatur Island is one of the San Juan Islands in Washington state, USA, located just east of Lopez Island across Lopez Sound and just south of Blakely Island across Thatcher Pass. Named by the Wilkes Expedition in 1841 for naval officer Stephen Decatur, it is 3.524 square miles (9.127 km²) in area. There is no Washington State Ferries service to Decatur; access is by private boat or plane. The airport on Decatur Island is private, for residents of the Decatur Shores community only.
