The 1907 Qaratog earthquake occurred at 04:23 UTC on 21 October. It had an epicenter near Qaratog (Karatag) in the border area between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, an estimated magnitude of 7.4 and reached a maximum felt intensity of IX (violent) on the Mercalli intensity scale. Sariosiyo District

Sariosiyo district or Sariosiyo tumani is a district in Surxondaryo Province, Uzbekistan. Its capital is the town of Sariosiyo. Sariosiyo district was founded on September 29, 1926. It was added to Denau district on December 24, 1962 and reconstituted on February 22, 1964. Total area is 3,930 sq. kilometer. Population is 180,500 (1996 statistics). There is one city and one town (Sariosiyo) in the district. The center of Sariosiyo district is 180 km north of the provincial capital Termiz.
