Catia La Mar

Catia La Mar is a city and port in the municipality of Vargas, in the State of Vargas in Maiquetía, Venezuela. It is Maiquetia's neighbor to the west. Catia la Mar is about 10 minutes from Simón Bolívar International Airport (Venezuela's main airport). Named after a 16th century chief, Catia, contemporary of the famous Guaicaipuro, the city hosts a naval academy and university, a fishing port called La Zorra, and several beaches (Costa Dorada, Playa La Zorra, Playa Candilejas, Puerto Viejo).

Simón Bolívar International Airport (Venezuela)

Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetia is an international airport located in Maiquetía, Venezuela, about 13 miles (21 kilometers) from downtown Caracas. Simply called 'Maiquetia' by the local population, it is the top international air passenger gateway to Venezuela among the twelve international airports in the country. From 1960 to 1997, it was the main hub for VIASA, Venezuela's former flag carrier till the air carrier went bankrupt.

Andrés Bello Catholic University

Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) is a private university in Venezuela. One of the biggest universities in Venezuela, UCAB has campuses in several cities, such as Caracas (where the main campus is located), Los Teques, Guayana and Coro. Named for Venezuelan writer Andrés Bello, UCAB was founded in October 1953 by the Society of Jesus (Episcopado Venezolano a la Compañía de Jesús).

Caricuao

Caricuao is a district of Caracas, Venezuela. It is part of Libertador municipality. It is named after a powerful indigenous chief of the Caracas tribe, who fought bravely against the Spaniard Conquistadores; he and Tiuna chief were the first indigenous leaders to set up "armies" on their tribes to organize the battles against their enemies, the Spanish, to which they inflicted great losses as the native indigenous tribes were fighting the Spanish settlement.

Brígido Iriarte Stadium

Estadio Brígido Iriarte is a multi-purpose stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of the Venezuelan Primera División team Real Esppor Club and two teams of the second tier league. The stadium currently holds 10,000 people. It was completely renovated in 2007.
