OMAR Mine Museum

Located in Kabul, Afghanistan, the OMAR Mine Museum contains a collection of 51 types of land mines out of the 53 used in Afghanistan over the years. The collection includes unexploded ordnance, cluster bombs and airdrop bombs used by the U.S. invasion in 2002. OMAR stands for the Organization for Mine Clearance and Afghan Rehabilitation. Kabul International Airport

Kabul International Airport, also known as Khwaja Rawash Airport by the Pashtun majority (Pashto: د خواجه رواش هوایي ډګر&#8206), is located 16 kilometers from the city center of Kabul in Afghanistan. Axe Kabul International Airport was built in the early 1960s. During the 10 year Soviet war in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989, the airport was controlled and used by the Soviet Army. Following the Soviet withdrawal it remained in control of the Afghan military, which transformed to private militia.

Kam Air Flight 904

Kam Air Flight 904 was involved in a deadly aviation disaster over the Pamir mountains of Afghanistan in February 2005. The incident took place shortly after 4:00 p.m. local time on February 3, when a private Kam Air Boeing 737-200 jet aircraft went missing in Afghanistan during a domestic flight from the western city of Herat to the capital Kabul. The crash is the deadliest air disaster in the history of Afghanistan.

Aisha-i-Durani School

Ministry of Communications (Afghanistan)

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is an organ of the government of Afghanistan. Current communications minister is Amirzai Sangin. At the end of 2001, there were an estimated 35,000 phones working in all of Afghanistan serving a population of 27 million, one of the lowest teledesities in the world. Calls could only be completed over satellite facilities and only among Afghanistan's six major urban areas.
