The District of Pogradec (Albanian: Rrethi i Pogradecit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Korçë County. It has a population of 70,575 (2010 estimate), and an area of 725 km². Gjorgji Kyçyku Stadium (Albanian: Stadiumi Gjorgji Kyçyku) is a stadium in Pogradec, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KS Pogradeci. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 people.

Royal Tombs of Selca e Poshtme

The Illyrian Tombs of Selca e Poshtme (Albanian: Varret e Selcës së Poshtme) are located near the town of Pogradec in Albania near the village of Selcë e Poshtme. On the right bank of the river Shkumbin at an elevation of 1040 m above sea level, lie the remains of the ancient city of Pelion and the accompanying necropolis. The Roman Via Egnatia led past it towards Thessaloniki.

Monastery of Saint Naum

The Monastery of Saint Naum (Macedonian: Манастир „Свети Наум“) is an Eastern Orthodox monastery in the Republic of Macedonia, named after the medieval Saint Naum who founded it. It is situated along Lake Ohrid, 29 kilometres south of the city of Ohrid. The Lake Ohrid area, including St Naum, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Macedonia.

2009 Lake Ohrid boat accident

On 5 September 2009, the Ilinden sightseeing boat with a group of 57 foreign tourists on board, of which 55 were Bulgarian, sank in Lake Ohrid, southwestern Republic of Macedonia. 15 lives were lost. The sinking of the Ilinden was the deadliest boat accident in the history of the Republic of Macedonia. Lake Ohrid is the deepest lake in the Balkans, with maximum depth of 288 metres . The Ilinden boat was taking tourists to the Saint Naum Monastery.
