Mound of Glory

The Mound of Glory is a memorial complex honouring Soviet soldiers who fought during World War II, located 21 km from Minsk, Belarus on the Moscow Highway. Designed by O. Stakhovich and sculpted by A. Bembel, it was established in 1969 on the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus during Operation Bagration (1944).

Kolodischi TV Mast

The Kolodischi TV Mast is a 350-metre tall guyed TV mast situated at Kolodischi, east of Minsk in Belarus. It is among the tallest towers in Belarus.

Uruchcha (Minsk Metro)

Uruchcha is a Minsk Metro station, that is the terminus of the Moskovskaya Line. Opened on November 7, 2007 it is the first station outside the Minsk Automobile Ring Road. The station is of shallow depth, in a pillar by-span design. As with all the recently built metro stations in Minsk, it has provisions for the disabled.

Borisovsky Trakt (Minsk Metro)

Borisovsky Trakt is a Minsk Metro station on the Moskovskaya Line. Opened on November 7, 2007 the station's name is derived from the Borisov Highway which leads to a city that is northeast of Minsk. The station will be a standard single level pillar-bispan with hi-tech aestatic design of white and red colours. Station exits will lead to the Belarusian National Technical University and East (Moskovskoye) cemetery.

Uschod (Minsk Metro)

Uschod is a Minsk Metro station. Opened on December 30, 1986. The station's name not only implies its geographical location, as it was the easternmost station of Minsk metro for more than 20 years, but also its connotation with the Vostok space programme that ultimately led to the first manned spaceflight. The station's architectural ensemble (Ye. Leonovich, V. Matelsky) is based on the latter, and consists of a single vault shape with suspended canopy that forms a single element.
