Kosovo, Kyustendil Province

Kosovo is a village in Treklyano municipality, Kyustendil Province, Bulgaria, located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:42|35|40|N|22|34|49|E| | |name= }}. The village is in a mountainous area, five kilometers away from the border of Serbia. Kosovo was first mentioned in 1576 as Kosova. The name is derived from the Bulgarian word for blackbird, kos (кос). There is a legend that the village was founded by refugees from the region of Kosovo, which is also likely.

Beraintsi

Beraintsi is a small village in Tran municipality, Pernik Province. It is located in western Bulgaria, 82 km from the capital city of Sofia, 6 km from the town of Tran and 13 km from the border with Serbia. To the north is the Ruy Mountain, which rises 1,706 m above sea level. The village has a permanent population of 15 people, although during the summer period it increases to as many as 150 people. Beraintsi was first mentioned in 1447 as Braintsi.

Treklyano

Treklyano (also transliterated Trekljano or Trekliano) is a village in southwestern Bulgaria, part of Kyustendil Province. It is the administrative centre of Treklyano municipality, which lies in the northwestern part of Kyustendil Province. The village is located in the Kraishte area, very close to the Serbian border and not far from the Republic of Macedonia border.
