Saeva dupka

Saeva dupka is a cave in Northern Bulgaria near the village of Brestnitsa, Lovech Province . Its five halls and 400 metres of corridors offer some of the most beautiful cave formations in the country. Besides that the cave has hosted many Choral music performances, thanks to the excellent acoustic conditions. Saeva dupka was named after two brothers Seyu and Sae who used it as a hiding place during the Ottoman occupation of Bulgaria.

Bilo Mountains, Bulgaria

The Bilo Mountains are a ridge or small range in the Balkan Mountains of western Bulgaria, in Sofia Province. They are located northeast of Sofia about 50 kilometres . and about 9 kilometres southwest of Botevgrad, near the town of Pravets. Bilo (Било) in Bulgarian means ridge.

Etropole Monastery

The Etropole Monastery of the Holy Trinity (Bulgarian: Етрополски манастир „Света Троица”, Etropolski manastir „Sveta Troitsa”), also known as Varovitets (Варовитец), is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery near the town of Etropole in west-central Bulgaria. The monastery was founded in the 12th or 13th century, its heyday being from the 16th to the 18th century when, thanks to its prolific scriptoria, it was the dominant literary centre of Ottoman-ruled northern Bulgaria.
