Sazliyka

The Sazliyka is a river in southeastern Bulgaria, a left tributary of the Maritsa. It originates in the Sarnena Sredna Gora mountains. In its upper course until Radnevo, it is also known as the Rakitnitsa or Syuyutliyka. The river is 145.4 kilometres in length and has a drainage basin of 3,293 square kilometres. Its average discharge at Galabovo is 17 cubic metres per second. The Galabovo Reservoir is located along the river.

Opan

Opan is a village in southern Bulgaria, part of Stara Zagora Province. It is the administrative centre of Opan Municipality, which lies in the southern part of Stara Zagora Province. The village is located south of the provincial capital of Stara Zagora, in the Upper Thracian Plain, the historical region of Thrace. The village was first mentioned in an Ottoman tax register of 1655.

Maritsa Iztok Complex

The Maritsa Iztok Complex is the largest energy complex in South Eastern Europe. It is located in Stara Zagora Province, south-central Bulgaria. It consists of three lignite-fired thermal power stations.
