Miziya
For the historical region see Moesia. Miziya is a town and municipality in Vratsa Province, northwestern Bulgaria near the Danube river. As of December 2009, the town has a population of 3,354 inhabitants. The town's original name was Bukyovtsi (Букьовци); an urban-type settlement, it was merged with Glozhene in 1970 to create the town of Miziya, but the two were separated again 1975. However, Bukyovtsi retained the new name.

Voyvodovo is a village in Miziya municipality, Vratsa Province, Bulgaria, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:43|39|N|23|51|E||| | |name= }}. It was founded in 1900, mostly by Evangelist Czechs, but also by Slovaks, Banat Swabians and Banat Bulgarians, all settlers from the region of Banat, then in Austria-Hungary. In 1904, Voyvodovo had a population of 410, of whom 215 were Czechs, 100 Slovaks, 57 Serbs, 29 Bulgarian Catholics, and 9 Bulgarian Orthodox.

The Ogosta, is a river in Northern Bulgaria, a right tributary of the Danube. It takes it source from Vrazha Glava Peak (935 m) on the border with Serbia. The towns of Chiprovtsi, Montana and Miziya are situated on the river's banks. The Ogosta river is 147.4 km in length and is fed by 40 tributaries in a watershed of 3157 square kilometres. Along the river's length there are 14 irrigation systems, 8 hydropower plants and 13 dams.
