Mvolyé

Mvolyé or Mvolye is a neighbourhood of Yaoundé, Cameroon. Around 1900, during Cameroon's colonial period, the site was part of the lands ruled by Karl Atangana. He then donated part of the area to the German Pallottine Fathers, a Roman Catholic missionary group. The Ewondo people had previously been unable to settle it due to a large rock there. The Fathers built a permanent mission, which opened Central and Eastern Cameroon to Christianisation. Atangana remained chief of the area.

Stade Municipal (Yaoundé)

Stade Municipal is a multi-use stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Impôts FC. The stadium holds 5,000 people.

Second Battle of Jaunde

The Second Battle of Jaunde involved the successful British and French assault on the German capital of Jaunde during the Kamerun Campaign of the First World War. After the failure of the First Battle of Jaunde during the summer of 1915, the bulk of Allied forces had retreated to the Kele river. Following the Second Duala Conference where Allied commanders discussed the situation, it was decided that another assault should be attempted.
