Wasagaming, Manitoba

Wasagaming (also known as Clear Lake) is the main town-site in Riding Mountain National Park. It is located at the south gate of Riding Mountain National Park along Highway 10. The town-site lies on the south shores of Clear Lake, the largest lake in Riding Mountain National Park. It is a popular tourist destination.

Onanole, Manitoba

Onanole is a community in Manitoba, located 105 km north of Brandon, Manitoba, at the south entrance to Riding Mountain National Park. Onanole is part of the Rural Municipality of Park. The Post Office opened in 1928 on 13-19-19W with Neil W. Tracy as postmaster. It subsequently moved to 7-19-18W nearer to the park. The name was suggested by the postmaster and was named after the Onanole Hotel in the Adirondacks (United States). The American hotel was "on a knoll".

Erickson, Manitoba

Erickson is a town in the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located on Highway 10 on 32-17-18W in south central Manitoba. The main industry of Erickson is agriculture. The community was originally established as a Canadian National railway point in 1905. When a post office was opened in 1908 it was known as Avesta. It was named after a town in south-central Sweden.

Scandinavia, Manitoba

Scandinavia is a locality in Manitoba. It is located in the northern portion of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam and south of Riding Mountain National Park. The Post Office was located on 7-18-17W and opened in 1886 with Jems Hemmingsen as postmaster. It closed in 1968. A School District of the same name was located on 6-18-17W.

Parkland is the name given to a region in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located in the western part of the province, between Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipegosis on the east and the Manitoba – Saskatchewan border on the west. The region comprises three of Statistics Canada's census divisions of Canada. Manitoba Census Divisions No. 16, No. 17, and No. 20, which together have a land area of 28,209.93 km² (10,891.91 sq mi) and a population of 42,088 are contained within the region.
