Otok, Split-Dalmatia County

Otok is a municipality and a village in inland Dalmatia, Croatia, located east of Sinj, approximately 7 kilometers away. Otok is bordered by the river Cetina and mountain Kamešnica. The population of Otok is 3,086, with a total of 5,468 in the municipality which includes four other villages and a hamlet (Gala, Korita, Ovrlje, Ruda, and Udovičići).

Ruda River (Cetina)

Ruda is a small river in the Dalmatian Zagora region of Croatia. It is the left tributary of the Cetina river, into which it flows about 1 km north of Trilj. The Orlovac Hydroelectric Power Plant, located partly in the Split-Dalmatia County and partly in Bosnia and Herzegovina, discharges the water used to generates power into the Ruda river.

Trilj is a municipality and town in inland Dalmatia, Croatia. It is located southeast of Sinj and northeast of Split. The total population of the municipality is 9,417, with 2,110 in Trilj itself and the rest in small villages.

Gardun

Gardun is a village at the top of the hill of Gardun, just 1 km south of Trilj. In the 1997, excavations of the remains of legionary fortress of Tilurium started on the southern outskirts of the village. Tilurium guarded the entrance to the Cetina valley from the south and the approach to the provincial capital at Salona.
