Lefkara

Lefkara is a village on the island of Cyprus famous for its lace, known as lefkaritika in and silver handicrafts. The village takes its name from the white of its silica and limestone: Lefkara is derived from a combination of the Greek words "lefka" and "ori" . It is located on the southern slopes of the Troödos Mountains in the Larnaca District of Cyprus, off the main Nicosia-Limassol highway. It features cobbled streets and picturesque architecture.

Khirokitia

Khirokitia (sometimes spelled Choirokoitia) is an archaeological site on the island of Cyprus dating from the Neolithic age. It has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1998. The site is known as one of the most important and best preserved prehistoric sites of the eastern Mediterranean. Much of its importance lies in the evidence of an organised functional society in the form of a collective settlement, with surrounding fortifications for communal protection.

Panagidia Galaktotrofousa monastery

The Panagidia Galaktotrofousa monastery is a small Cypriot Orthodox Monastery on the island Cyprus, in the Greek part. Anno 2012 there are living only three monks in the monastery. The oldest monk is 82 years. The other monks are around 78 and 40. The monastery consists of dormitories, a church in the courtyard and some rooms are furnished as an exhibition space.
