Panagidia Galaktotrofousa monastery
The Panagidia Galaktotrofousa monastery is a small Cypriot Orthodox Monastery on the island Cyprus, in the Greek part. Anno 2012 there are living only three monks in the monastery. The oldest monk is 82 years. The other monks are around 78 and 40. The monastery consists of dormitories, a church in the courtyard and some rooms are furnished as an exhibition space.

The village takes its name from the white of its silica and limestone: Lefkara is derived from a combination of the Greek words "lefka" and "ori" .
